pregnancy complications, loss, early parenting, relationship differences, separation and divorce
and anxiety and depression.

Counselling

Reaching out for support can be hard and you are probably here because you want to make positive
changes in your life. I will walk with you on this journey, at your pace and I respect that you are the
expert in your own life.

Jill supports Individuals, Couples and Families as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions, and
work toward achieving new balance in their lives, while supporting each person’s unique strengths
and social and cultural diversity.

As an experienced Helper and Caregiver of many large organizations, Jill recognizes how this role can
take a toll on us personally and professionally. I welcome conversations about Self-care,

Compassion Resilience and Self-Preservation.

Clinical Supervision

Jill is an approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS) and has had the honour of providing Clinical
Supervision to Therapists of all stages of practice, from students to the very seasoned clinicians since
2013.

Clinical Supervision is a way of enhancing your skills, stretching your practice and preventing
compassion fatigue. Supervision is recognized as BCCSW Continuing Professional Development.
“Clinical supervision is a disciplined, tutorial process wherein principles are transformed into
practical skills, with four overlapping foci: administrative, evaluative, clinical, and supportive.”
(Powell, 1998.)

As a Co-founder of The Counselling Collective
Jill is dedicated to the promotion of community well being.
She is compassionate and professional.

Conflict of interest statement

As I work in many programs at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Mental Health and Substance use, I have a conflict of interest in working with you if you or your immediate family are involved with any of the following programs: The Psychiatric Emergency Service; the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, 1 South; 2 North and South. I will happily refer you and your family to another therapist if this is the case.
